Meet Sharon Seltman, Pediatric OT
35+ Years of Experience Supporting Healthy Child Development
Sharon Seltman brings over 35 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, and her passion for her work has never faded. She genuinely loves helping children reach their highest potential and deeply values the meaningful relationships she builds with both her patients and their families.
Sharon earned her Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and holds advanced certifications in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), Therapeutic Music Listening, Handwriting Without Tears, and is an Accredited Infant Massage Instructor. She has extensive experience in Sensory Integration Therapy and is equally passionate about sharing her knowledge with fellow professionals, educators, and parents.
Throughout her career, Sharon has worked across a wide range of settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, private clinics, and home health, gaining deep insight into the developmental needs of children of all ages and abilities.
While Sharon continues to work closely with children who have special needs, she is especially committed to educating all parents — including those of typically developing children. Over the years, she has seen a significant shift: referrals once centered primarily on children with clear diagnoses (such as Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or autism), but now increasingly include school-aged children who are struggling despite being considered “typical.”
Many of these challenges stem from missed foundational movement experiences in early infancy, including adequate tummy time. Without these early building blocks, children may later present with difficulties in fine motor skills, motor planning, and sensory-motor development.
Sharon’s mission is simple and powerful: to keep babies on track from the very beginning — supporting strong foundations, healthy sensory-motor development, and confident milestone achievement in all children.
